The Release Renewals Tab is used after the Create Renewals Tab has been used to create the renewal records to release, print and post some or all of these transactions. This form is displayed when the Edit option is taken from the pop-up sub-menu (accessed via a right-click on any transaction line within the grid) and is used to edit the account or renewal values.
To access the edit renewals details form:
From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.
The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.
Select the Contract Management option.
The Contract Management form is displayed.
Select the Accounting menu bar from the icon menu on the left of the form.
Select the shortcut.
Select the Release Renewals Tab.
Right click on any transaction line within the grid and select Edit from the pop-up sub-menu.
The fields contained within the form are as follows:
Account: The purchase ledger account to be updated by the renewal transaction e.g. P0003 for Post Office Counters.
Selection of the
button displays an Supplier Accounts List Box that enables selection of the required Purchase Ledger account code.
Within the blank field at the top of the list box some or all of the required account code shortname may be entered and the Shortname command button selected. All of the account codes with a shortname that meets the entered criteria are displayed in the list box below. The required code should be selected with the mouse and the OK command button used to confirm this selection.
Alternatively, this field may be left blank and selection of the Shortname command button then displays all current account codes in alphanumeric order and the scroll bar to the right of the form used to locate the required code.
Actual: The actual cost of the renewal (this value may be edited and not necessarily the same as the budgeted value.
Budget: The original budgeted cost of the renewal (this value may be edited and not necessarily the same as the actual value.
Start Date: The start date of the RFL, MOT or Motor Club period.
End Date Date: The end date of the RFL, MOT or Motor Club period.
COMMAND BUTTONS:
The full list of command buttons is as follows:
OK: Returns the new values (if applicable) to the Renewals Grid within the Release Renewals Tab.
Cancel: Returns to the Release Renewals Tab without taking any action.
Help: Provides online context-sensitive help.
