UPDATE MARKETING CONTACTS

Overview

The Update CRM Contacts form is accessed via Fleet System Management / Update CRM Contacts.

The Fleet system allows for the use of automatically generated CRM contact records.The generation of these records depends on Fleet Contact records being created, and linked to Audited Events . The menu option Update CRM Contacts is normally run as an end of day process, during which it looks at a file called FM/MKLOG to examine all of the contacts raised during the day by the automatic function, and makes sure they are correctly linked to the appropriate CRM record.

If the option is taken manually instead of being used as part of the end of day process it should be understood that it my take some minutes to run. It is best run during the End of Day process to ensure that record locking within the CRM system does not prevent contacts from being correctly linked to customer records.

The form is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar , the Update CRM Contacts Dialogue Box and a series of Command Buttons at the bottom of the form.

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.

Update CRM Contacts Dialogue Box

This form displays the following two mutually exclusive menu options:

Aborts the procedure and returns to the Fleet System Management Menu .

Proceeds with the automatic generation of CRM contact records (by examining all of the contacts raised during the day by the automatic function, and ensuring they are correctly linked to the appropriate CRM record) and then returns to the Fleet System Management Menu .

Command Buttons

A number of command buttons are available:

Confirms and proceeds with the selected menu option.

Cancels any menu options and returns to the Fleet System Management Menu .

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.
