The Miscellaneous Price Details set-up form is accessed via Miscellaneous Options / Product Management / Misc. Price Details and is used to create, edit and delete various static miscellaneous price types.
This is currently used only for holding RFL Details.
The form is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar, the Miscellaneous Price Details Dialogue Box and the column of Command Buttons down the right-hand side of the form.
In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
Upon accessing this option the form is in display mode. To edit details select the Amend command button.
The RFL Details Tab displays a number of details relating to the selected RFL Type which are as follows:
- Full Period
Contains the definition for full period of cover for the RFL cost e.g. 12 for a period of twelve months.
- Part Period
Contains the definition for part period of cover for the RFL cost e.g. 6 for a period of six months.
- Registration Fee
Contains the current initial registration fee.
The Banding Tab displays a number of details relating banding and break points for RFL, which are as follows:
- Banding Type
This field displays the available default vehicle types for the selected RFL type. A single-click of the down-arrow to the right of this field enables selection from the current available options:
- C Engine CC
- Break Point Table
This table enables input of relevant break points with their corresponding full and part fees. The form currently allows entry of up to eight different break points. Data entry is achieved simply by clicking into the appropriate cell and entering the appropriate value. The Tab key can then be used to move to the next cell.
Break Point
Contains the Engine CC "break" (i.e. the maximum engine size to which the Full/Part Fees are to be applied) e.g. 1099.
Full Fee
This cell holds the RFL cost for the full period of cover for the corresponding break point (i.e. the cell immediately to the right) e.g. 100.
Part Fee
This cell holds the RFL cost for a part period of cover for the corresponding break point e.g. 50.
The Co2 Tab displays the Co2 band emissions range and corresponding fees for each alternative fuel type. The bands are hard-coded to correspond with the Rates of Vehicle Excise Duty data issued by the Government.
- Zero Co2 RFL Full Fee
This field displays the full Road Fund Licence value for vehicles (such as vans) that do not have Co2 emission figures.
- Zero Co2 RFL part Fee
TThis field displays the part Road Fund Licence value for vehicles (such as vans) that do not have Co2 emission figures.
- Co2 Table
Band
The Co2 band. Each new vehicle variant is allocated its own band by the appropriate authorities; this band denotes the range of Co2 emissions into which the vehicle fulls.
Co2 Range - From
Contains the lower limit of the Co2 emissions range for a particular band to which the Full/Part Fees are to be applied) e.g. 121.
Co2 Range - To
Contains the upper limit of the Co2 emissions range for a particular band to which the Full/Part Fees are to be applied) e.g. 150.
Alternative - Full
This cell holds the RFL cost for the full period of cover (for the corresponding Co2 Band) for alternative fuel vehicles such as LPG e.g. 90.00.
Alternative - Part
This cell holds the RFL cost for the part period of cover (for the corresponding Co2 Band) for alternative fuel vehicles such as LPG e.g. 49.50.
Petrol - Full
This cell holds the RFL cost for the full period of cover (for the corresponding Co2 Band) for petrol vehicles e.g. 100.00.
Petrol - Part
This cell holds the RFL cost for the part period of cover (for the corresponding Co2 Band) for petrol vehicles e.g. 55.00.
Diesel - Full
This cell holds the RFL cost for the full period of cover (for the corresponding Co2 Band) for diesel vehicles e.g. 110.00.
Diesel - Part
This cell holds the RFL cost for the part period of cover (for the corresponding Co2 Band) for diesel vehicles e.g. 60.50.00.
The scroll bar to the right of the table may be used to access any Bands that are not immediately available for view.
A number of command buttons are available. Some buttons are context sensitive and are greyed-out and only become available dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full list of command buttons is as follows:
Exits the Miscellaneous Price Details form and returns to the Product Management menu.
Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.
Provides the facility for editing the set-up options of the current Miscellaneous Price Type record. No edits can be made to a record until the Amend button has been selected.
Saves any amendments to the current record.
On first accessing the Motor Club Details form this command button is greyed-out. Following selection of the Amend button the Cancel option then becomes available to enable any edits to be cancelled.
This is not a command button. This box is a way of displaying messages with regard to the status of the current record e.g. "Record Secured OK"
Selection of this button displays a further form that provides an Ad-hoc Report Generator for the creation of quick query reports to form..
Selection of this button displays a further form that provides an itemised display of all the selection criteria for the current Motor Club Type .
