QUICK TERMINATIONS (CHARGES TAB)

Overview

Accessed by way of Terminations / Quotations & Extensions / Quick Terminations and selection of the Charges Tab.

Selection of the Charges Tab enables the selection, editing or review of charges to be added to the termination for items such as Refurbishment, Auction Fees or Administration charges, etc, to be recharged on to the customer.

Charges Dialogue Box

The Charges Dialogue Box displays a Charges Grid which presents a list of currently selected charges records for the selected vehicle. Also displayed is a series of command buttons, the functions of which are described below. Each row of the Charges Grid contains a discrete charge record containing the following columns of information:

A two digit charge code that should reflect the nature of the charge e.g. RF to denote a refurbishment charge. Charge code details are initially set-up within Terminations / Miscellaneous Options / Charges . Selection of the New Charge command button presents the Create Charge form that enables selection of an existing charge code.

The text associated with the selected charge code. This text defaults in with the selected charge code but may be amended if required. Up to three lines of fifty characters of text are available for text entry. This text appears on the recharge invoice to the customer.

The charge value associated with the selected charge code. This value defaults in with the selected charge code but may be amended if required. This is the charge value (net of VAT) that is to be recharge to the customer.

The code that is to be used to calculated the VAT to be added to the invoice. This code defaults in with the selected charge code but may be amended if required by selection of an alternative VAT Code for the list presented by the drop-down-arrow immediately to the right of this field.

This is a calcualted value using the Value and the VAT Code. This value may be edited if required.

This is a calcualted value and is the total of the charge Value and the VAT Value. This value cannot be edited.

Menu List Box

Selection of an existing charge within the Charges Grid displays a menu list box that allows the editing and deletion of charge codes.

The following options are displayed:

Displays the Edit Other Charge form that enables the editing of an existing charge code.

Displays the Delete Other Charge form that enables the deletion of an existing charge code.

Returns to the Quick Termination screen without taking any action.

Selection of a blank row within the Charges Grid displays the Create Other Charge form that enables selection of an existing charge code. Charge code details are initially set-up within Terminations / Miscellaneous Options / Charges.
