The Vehicle Re-Marketing screen is accessed by way of Terminations / Re-Marketing and selection of the Vehicle Re-Marketing menu option.
This process is used to dispose of vehicles to any Sales Ledger account and also enables for the generation of any costs that are incurred.
This Vehicle Re-Marketing screen is split into five parts that are as follows:
In addition to displaying the screen name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
The content of the Vehicle Re-Marketing menu bar is dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full menu bar contents, however, are as follows:
Open
Clears the screen of current data and locates the cursor in the Registration Number field in order that a new vehicle may be selected.
Save
If any amendments have been made to the re-marketing record then the system saves this data.
Exit
Exits to the Re-Marketing menu. If any amendments have been made to the re-marketing record then the system prompts: Save Amended Details? Y/N. The Yes or No command button is selected accordingly.
Contract Review
Accesses the global contract review screen.
Post to Accounts
This option takes all of the values input on the invoice and posts them through to the Accounts system.
The values shown against the Sales Ledger account updated the defined account header. The nominal codes used are as held on the selected Basis Code used at the time of termination of the contract. Any costs to be set against the sale pick up the nominal codes held on the cost record.
All the values are sent into the Fleet Pending file, allowing for validation prior to posting and onward transmission to the accounting system, enabling the printing of the invoice to the customer in the required format.
Reverse Disposal
This option reverses all the postings made to the Accounts system using the Post To Accounts option above. A negative invoice is produced for the customer allowing the values to be reversed in the Accounts and the re-input of the correct values or to bring the vehicle back on to the Fleet.
Note: Once a vehicle is disposed of it cannot be used within the Quotation system. Once a disposal is reversed the system once again enables the vehicle to be quoted on as a known vehicle.
This menu option displays a Terminations sub-menu option which in turn leads to a selection from the following:
Quick Mail
A pre-defined email relevant to the specific module area from which it is accessed. The required email format for inclusion in this menu list is defined within the Quick Mail Format field located in the Reports Tab within Maintenance Control / System Maintenance / System Parameters.
Reports
Displays a list of user-defined reports applicable to this process. Once written within RepGen an ellipsis button may be used to located and select these reports for inclusion within this menu list within the Reports Tab within Maintenance Control / System Maintenance / System Parameters.
This menu option displays a sub-menu option with a selection from the following options:
Accesses Administrator mail and diary functions.
CRM
Exits to the CRM module (with the focus on the Target record.
Provides online access to a context sensitive Help screen.

Displays the Global Review Screen.
Provides online access to a context sensitive Help screen.
The top quarter of the screen displays relatively static information relating to the vehicle. The following fields are displayed:
The registration number of the vehicle. The ellipsis button (...) immediately to the right of the Registration No field is used to initiate the Fleet Global Search (Alternatively, the
icon may be used). This screen is used to locate, select and open a particular vehicle record by way of a number of alternative selection criteria methods.
The master agreement number (produced at the Convert Quote stage of the contract for example, 100045 ) for which the termination quotation is to be created.
The status of the contract for example, W(ashed Out).
The full vehicle of the vehicle to be re-marketed.
The remainder of the Vehicle Re-Marketing Dialogue Box displays a series of Tabs that contain the relevant information relating to specific re-marketing details. The three Tabs are as follows:
Selection of the Movements Tab enables the review of collections, deliveries or vehicle tracking for the selected vehicle record. These records may be created in the Movements Module but also in other modules, such as Purchasing, Maintenance and Terminations.
Selection of the Bids & Valuations Tab enables the entry of any disposal bids received against the vehicle. The screen is used as a memo recording facility and the data recorded does not have to be actioned or carried forward in any way.
Selection of the Disposal Values Tab enables the leasing company to log a number of vehicle valuations during the period of time the vehicle is the property of the leasing company and available for sale at auction or showroom. This screen also enables the logging of attempted sales within auction/showroom (providing times and values)
Selection of the Basic Details Tab enables the entry of the basic Sale details.
Selection of the Disposal Costs Tab enables the entry of any additional disposal costs that may be incurred upon disposal of the vehicle the vehicle that may be added to the termination for onward transmission to the customer such as auction fees, etc.
Displays textual prompts and status throughout the life of the vehicle re-marketing.
