The Purge Database screen is accessed via Fleet System Management / System Maintenance / Purge Database.
This option purges all items which have passed their retention date, and archives those records which have archive files set up. It also checks the validity of all records and their links with other records. This routine is usually carried out after the Validate Database option is run.

Quotations
Quotes basis records
Audit log entries
Major cost update records
Message log
Data preparation records
Option residual x-ref records
Maintenance approvals
Vehicle collection records
Vehicle delivery records
Termination basis nominal records.
Redundant Vehicle purchasing audit records (FO_audit)
In addition to displaying the screen name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
This screen displays the following data:
Displays the number of records that may be purged.
A number of command buttons are available:
Runs the validation routine on all fleet files and archives those that are appropriate. The old records are then be purged from the files.
A report is printed to show what was done. At the end of the process the system displays the following sub-menu:
- Abort
If the abort option is chosen then none of the records selected are deleted.
- Delete Invalid Records
Purges the records. Once they are deleted the system returns to the System Maintenance Menu.
Cancels the menu options and returns to the System Maintenance Menu.
Provides online access to a context sensitive Help screen.
