The Product maintenance option allows part numbers to be maintained such as office consumables, fixed assets and services.
Use Product maintenance to create, delete or amend product lines, and therefore maintain them.
From the Autoline Master menu select the Purchase Ledger option and the Company you require.
The PURCHASE LEDGER menu is displayed.
Select the Sundry order control option.
The SUNDRY ORDER CONTROL MENU is displayed.
Select the Product maintenance option.
The Sundry Product Maintenance form is displayed.
The Sundry Product Maintenance form is displayed when the Product maintenance option is selected from the SUNDRY ORDER CONTROL menu.
The Sundry Product Maintenance form consists of the following tab:
Upon entering the form, enter the part number you want to search for, or use the button to search for a part number.
When you have selected a part number, the remaining fields on the form then display the details of the part number that was entered or selected at the top of the form.
The Sundry Products tab displays the following fields:
Part number: The part number of the product.
Description: What the product is, for example, Pencils.
Default NL account: The default Nominal Ledger account. A priority exists to override this during Requisitions or Order maintenance. An
button is available to aid searching.
Default quantity: Indicates the default quantity of the product. A negative quantity may be entered if required, resulting in a negative order being produced, although negative orders are subject to a priority level also.
Default price: The default price of the product.
VAT code: The VAT code represents the Value Added Tax code. The one character initial represents an individual tax rate, such as E for Exempt, H for Higher Rate and S for Standard. An
button is available to aid searching.
BUTTONS:
Exit: Returns you to the SUNDRY ORDER CONTROL menu.
Help: Displays help on the current application in your default company browser.
Create: Click this button if you want to create a new part number. (Use the blank radio button if you want to create a completely new part number, or the Copy radio button if using an existing part number as a template.
Delete: Deletes a part number.
Ad-hoc: Allows you to perform an enquiry on the part number file.
