System controls are only available to priority 9 users because changing them after a system is live can cause problems. Standard functionality exists that allows you to maintain records for the selected SO company.
Warning: The system controls must NOT be changed unless under guidance from a support consultant.
To access the SO system controls:
The POINT OF SALE menu is displayed.
Select the System maintenance option.
The SO SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu is displayed.
Select the System controls option.
The SO System Controls form is displayed.
The SO System Controls form is displayed when you select the System controls option from the SO SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu. From this form you can display the system controls for the selected POS company.
Next free WIP number: This is the next free WIP number to be used by Point-of-Sale when a WIP is created and saved.
Last parts log magic: A unique identifying (magic) number is allocated to transactions in the parts log file (logpa). This is a record of the last magic number used.
Labour log last magic: A unique identifying (magic) number is allocated to transactions in the labour log file (logla). This is a record of the last magic number used.
Log header last magic: A unique identifying (magic) number is allocated to transactions in the header log file (loghd). This is a record of the last magic number used.
Intrastat extraction magic: A unique identifying (magic) number is allocated to transactions when an extract is performed within the Intrastat module.
Next Packing Magic: This control is only used if a Parts delivery control option appears on the POINT OF SALE menu. This is a program that enables you to identify part numbers contained within a package. If the program is installed, this is the next unique identifying (magic) number to be allocated.
Year Sequence No: This field is only used in Italy as a year/sequence control number.
