It is possible to send an SMS message to a digital mobile phone direct from a Point-of-Sale WIP via a special Nokia CardPhone 2.0 device installed in the kprint server PC. Standard functionality exists that allows you to create and maintain default SMS messages. These messages are made available to users via a drop-down menu when the SMS option is selected from the CRM menu in Point-of-Sale.
Note: In order for this facility to work in Point-of-Sale, the UserEnv.txt file must be set up correctly, and a printer that identifies the IP address of the SMS server. This is normally done on set-up by an Autoline consultant.
To access SMS default messages:
The POINT OF SALE menu is displayed.
Select Miscellaneous options.
The SO MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.
Select the SMS default messages option.
The SMS messages form is displayed.
