Archive/Consolidate Incidents

The archive/consolidate incidents enables incidents to be archived, whilst consolidating, this process is normally run as part of the End of day option.

Within the option system parameters there are fields to advise users on how many days to retain "Live" headers and how long to retain the archive file. This is in number of days. This process removes records which fall outside this range.

When first entering into this option you will be prompted to check the space in the files.

Warning: This process locks all Incident management files.

The form will display the incident cut off and the archive cut off.

File: This displays the files to be archived/consolidated:

  • Incident headers
  • Incident events
  • Header archive
  • Event archive
  • Max recs: This displays maximum record that be held in the file.

    Max used: This displays the maximum used at present.

    After: This displays what files would be left after the archive has taken place.

    Choose the 'Archive' button, this will archive, you may get a message advising not enough space, you can either cancel, or citinue and allow the process to archive into the space available.

    Buttons

    Archive: Indicates the progress of the upload/conversion process.

    Check: Indicates the progress of the upload/conversion process.

    Cancel: Cancels the process.

    Help: Takes you to the on-line help.
