The Run Report Generator facility enables use of a previously saved exporting CRM report generator for selecting records on which to run a record de-duplication process.
Warning: Loading a saved selection clears any existing contents of the Database Cleansing form's Select Records grid.
To run a report generator:
Note: This expands on the Report Method procedure in Search Filter.
Select a saved CRM exporting report generator in the form's grid.
The Report ID field is populated by the contents of the Report ID and Title columns of the selected grid line.
Note: If the report generator represented by the selected line has already been run, the Process button is enabled, otherwise it is greyed out.
If the Process button is greyed out, click the Run Report button, otherwise proceed to step 5.
A largely blank CRM Report form, which may be titled dedup2 (MK), is displayed.
Click OK.
The report is run and, when it finishes, a dialog box containing a Report Status is displayed.
Click Close.
You are returned to the Run Report Generator form, with a tick in the line's Already Run column and the Process button enabled.
Click the Process button.
You are returned to the Database Cleansing form 1, its Current Filter grid's previous contents having been further refined by the export report.
This form is displayed when you click the OK button on the Search Filter form, provided that you invoked that form by selecting Fill grid > Report... from the menu bar of the Database Cleansing form.
Depending on the context, the form is titled:
Run Report Generator - Company
Run Report Generator - Customer, or
Run Report Generator - Vehicle.
It enables use of a previously saved exporting CRM report generator for selecting records on which to run a record de-duplication process. It does so by refining further the selection of criteria used in a cleansing merge. It populates the Database Cleansing form's Current Filter grid from the export report.
Note: It is assumed that the magic numbers required are exported in the first column.
Report ID: Identifies the selected (highlighted) report file
Tip: Double-click a line in the grid to place its report identifier in this field.

Already run: A tick indicates that the report has been previously run
