Import Leads

The import leads facility enables users with appropriate access to import sales leads from a csv spreadsheet held on a PC on to the system. Customer records are not created at this point the information is simply imported on the Autoline system. The form consists of a tool and menu bar and a twelve column grid.

Note: The information on the spread sheet must be in the order of title, first name, surname, company name, telephone 1, telephone 2, vehicle registration number, vehicle description and notes as the system will assume the information is in this order and cannot be changed after the import has been completed. Any columns which are blank still need to exist on the spread sheet.

As described this grid is a twelve column grid which displays the imported lead information the column headings are as follows:-

Menu and tool bars

The functionality of the form is controlled by the options on the menu and tool bars, these are:-

File - Import Import3.gif Opens the select file which enables you to find and select the correct CSV file. Ctrl + I All ways
File - Allocate Opens the allocate leads for where the user or team to whom the leads are going to be allocated can be selected. Ctrl + A Only enabled after grid items have been selected.
File - Delete Purge.gif Deletes leads and removes them from the grid. Ctrl + D Only enabled after grid items have been selected
File - Exit Exit.gif Closes the Import leads form and returns you to the CRM miscellaneous options menu. Esc Always available.

Lead details can be amended prior to allocation or deletion. In order to make amendments the grid entry should be clicked this action opens the CRM lead form in edit mode. Changes should be saved before leaving the form.
