Vehicle Tick Sheet

This option is used in conjunction with franchise data, vehicle stock books, marketing and showroom modules and is used primarily in a used vehicle environment. Generic option categories may be defined within Franchise data / Miscellaneous options / Generic option categories, to allow grouping of options and vehicles, therefore making it easier to search for a particular vehicle and meet the customer requirements.

There are two ways that this option can used. Firstly to define generic categories on a Variant record. For example, if you know that a vehicle has certain features, generic categories may be attached to the variant so that when vehicle searches are performed, for example to identify vehicles with say leather interior and air conditioning, the vehicle will be displayed in the search results.

Alternatively, within Franchise data Build specification it is also possible to group together individual options at either model or variant level and define a generic option category for the option. This is in addition to the normal option types and analysis codes.

When a vehicle record is created which contains generic option categories on either the variant record itself or on the options codes selected as part of the vehicle specification,a tick sheet is completed with the appropriate generic option categories 'ticked'. This is what is displayed when the 'Ticksheet' option is chosen from within Marketing or Vehicle Stockbooks. This may be viewed at any time regardless of the vehicle status.

Ticksheet

The vehicle tick sheet is displayed when you select the Tick sheet option from the vehicle menu within the Vehicles tab in marketing record maintenance. The option will only appear on the menu if the MK.ticks and VS.ticks files exist. There are no other parameters that need to be defined in order to make use of this functionality.

When the option is selected a 'ticksheet' is displayed listing all the generic option categories that have been defined within Franchise data / Miscellaneous options / Generic option categories.

In display mode, no amendments can be made, but if the vehicle record is in edit mode, the tick sheet may be amended to indicate which generic option categories the selected vehicle has. Select a category by clicking on each of the applicable lines. This will place a 'tick' indicator at the beginning of each of the selected lines. To de-select a line click the line again.

Note: A maximum of 50 Generic option categories can be selected on a vehicle tick sheet.
