Payment Methods

You can record methods of payment against each transaction in Point-of-Sale.

To update the list of payment methods:

1. From the Operations Menu select Fastfit reporting followed by the name of the Point-of-Sale company you require.

   The Fastfit Reporting form is displayed.

2. Click the Fastfit Reporting options button on the form's toolbar or select Edit > Options on the menu bar.

   The Fastfit Reporting Options form is displayed with the Reporting options tab active.

3. Select the Payments tab.

   A list of payment methods and payment type mappings is displayed. You can add, amend or delete a payment method or amend a payment type mapping.

To add to the list of payment methods:

1. Click Add.

   The Payment Method Properties form is displayed.

2. Enter the three-character payment method code and the description and click OK.

   You are returned to the Payments tab with the new payment method added.

To edit a payment method's description:

1. Highlight it and click Amend.

   The Payment Method Properties form is displayed with the Description field available for editing.

2. Amend the description and click OK.

   You are returned to the Payments tab with the description amended.

To delete an entry on the payment methods list:

1. Highlight the payment method and click Delete.

   The Payment Method Properties form is displayed.

2. Click Delete.

   You are returned to the Payments tab with the entry removed from the list.

To map a Sales Ledger category to a Point-of-Sale payment type:

1. Click the POS payment type field next to the Sales Ledger category you want to map.

   A drop-down arrow button is displayed in the field.

2. Click the drop-down arrow button and click the required entry on the drop-down list.

   The payment type and its description are displayed in the POS payment type field. The mappings are used to fill in the warranty/payment code on new Fastfit labour lines automatically.

Payments Tab

Payment methods:

Code: Three-character payment method code.

Description: Identifies a payment method code.

Payment methods group buttons:

Add: Enables you to add a new payment method.

Amend: Enables you to edit the selected payment method's description.

Delete: Enables you to delete the selected payment method.

Payment type mapping:

SL category: Code of Sales Ledger category to be mapped to a Point-of-Sale payment type.

POS payment type: Code of Point-of-Sale payment type mapped to.

Buttons:

Cancel: Returns you to the Fastfit Reporting form, ignoring any changes you made on the Payments tab.

Save: Returns you to the Fastfit Reporting form, saving any changes you made on the Payments tab.
