Display the Fastfit reporting calendar
Learn about the Fastfit Reporting form
To display the Fastfit Reporting form:
From the Operations Menu select Fastfit reporting followed by the name of the Point-of-Sale company you require.
The Fastfit reporting form is displayed.
This form is displayed when you select Operations menu > Fastfit reporting > Point-of-Sale company. It enables you to administer Fastfit reporting.
Menu Bar and Toolbar:
Menu bar Toolbar Action File > Exit Returns you to the Operations menu. Edit > Options Enables you to set Fastfit reporting options. Edit > Find Enables you to find Fastfit transactions. View > Filter Displays or hides the report filter options. View > Run report Runs the Fastfit report based on the Filter options you have specified. View > Calendar — Displays the Fastfit reporting calendar. View > File enquiry — Enables you to view and amend the following:
- Headers
- Lines
- Answers
- Calendar
- Questions
- Categories
- Fixed items
- Payment methods
- Default parameters
- Report favourites
- Controls
- Labour excluded from Fastfit
- Lookups
Tools > House keeping — Enables you to remove old Fastfit reporting data. Tools > Reset — Resets Fastfit reporting, removing all transactions. — Refreshes the report, taking into account any changes (such as the selection of the Split by sale type and Show hidden columns check boxes) made since it was last run or refreshed. — Launches the Microsoft calculator. — Displays the current report in Microsoft Excel. — Displays the grid legend. Help > Help index Displays this help topic in a web browser. Help > About — Displays version and copyright information.
All invoiced jobs through the Fastfit department are captured and available for reporting on. Fastfit Reporting provides key daily summary information such as sales to date (for the day) and bookings for the day or week direct from Point-of-Sale without the need to run any form of report generator.
These reports display sales information depending on the report filters selected and provide the ability to drill into the data down to job level.
Note: You can turn the display of the Filter group box on or off by clicking the Show filter options
button or by selecting View > Filter on the menu bar.
Report dates: Date range for the report, selectable by clicking the Drop-down button. One of the following:
- All dates
- Today
- Week to date
- Last week
- Month to date
- Last month
- Financial year to date
- Custom dates (if you select Custom dates, the From and To fields become available, each enabling you to choose a date by clicking its Ellipsis button)
Departments: Determines which departments are included in the report. One or more of the following, depending on what is highlighted:
- Fastfit
- Parts
- Workshop
View by: Determines the view of the report, enabling you to view sales by varying groups. One of the following:
- Categories - Displays sales by categories
- Invoices - Displays sales by number of invoices
- Questions - Shows sales by answers to pre-defined questions (if you select Questions, the Question field becomes available, enabling you to select the Question by clicking the Drop-down button)
Category: Code and description of an item sold through Point-of-Sale, selectable by clicking the Drop-down button. You can view, add, amend, delete and set up categories.
Split by sale type (internal/external): When this check box is ticked, the report is displayed separated into internal and external sales types.
Selections:
Category: Selected category.
Sale type: Selected sale type.
Invoice no: Selected invoice number.
WIP No: Selected WIP number.
Customer: Selected customer.
Vehicle description: Selected vehicle.
Registration: Registration number for the selected vehicle.
Grid:
Note: Double-click a line in the grid to go to the next level of detail.
Category: If the Split by sale type (internal/external) check box was ticked when the report was last run or refreshed, the internal sales, external sales and grand totals (otherwise the grand totals alone).
Jobs: Number of jobs for each internal and external sale type, with totals and the grand total.

Note: The following columns are displayed only if the Show hidden columns check box was ticked when the report was last run or refreshed.

Back: Returns the grid to the previous level of detail.
Note: This button becomes available when you have double-clicked a grid line to go to the next level of detail.
Check box:
Show hidden columns: If ticked when the report was last run or refreshed, displays five extra columns in the grid to assist Support.
