Various set-ups for the dealer mapping, contact mapping and sales types must be completed for the development to take full effect. Parameters must be populated to map Autoline data to the Volvo equivalent correctly during Prospect Activity Reporting.
To amend the Data Mapping parameters:
From the VOLVO UK OPERATIONS MENU, select the Prospect Activity Reporting option and the Marketing company required.
The Volvo Prospect Activity form is displayed.
Select Tools > Mapping on the menu bar or click the Amend Volvo Prospect Activity Mapping button on the toolbar.
The Volvo Prospect Activity Data Mapping form is displayed.
This form is displayed when you select Tools > Mapping from the menu bar on the Volvo Prospect Activity form, or click the form's Amend Volvo Prospect Activity Mapping button. It enables you to map Autoline data to the Volvo equivalent correctly.
Note: If Volvo Prospect Activity Reporting is started and no dealer code mappings are found, the Volvo Prospect Activity Data Mapping Form is displayed automatically.
Prospect Dealer Codes:
Volvo dealer codes must be mapped to an Autoline location, and the mappings can either be added, amended and deleted. Right-click the dealer mapping grid to view the available options. Note that the length of dealer codes is limited to five characters as that is the maximum in the extract file.
Location: A location code taken from GB.locat.
Location Description: Describes a location.
Dealer Code: Code for a dealer related to the location.
Grid right-click menu:
Add: Enables you to add a new Dealer Code.
Note: A location can have only one Volvo dealer code mapped to it. When you add new dealer code mappings, only unused locations are displayed in the Location drop-down list. If no more locations are available, a message is displayed and no more mappings can be done until additional locations become available.
Amend: Enables you to amend the selected Dealer Code.
Delete: Deletes the selected Dealer Code.
Prospect Contact Codes:
CRM Contact type codes (MK.types) can be mapped to a Volvo equivalent, and the mappings can be added, amended or deleted. For a Contact Code Mapping to be stored, a CRM company, Contact type code and Volvo contact type must be selected. Right-click the contact mapping grid to view the available options.
CRM Company: CRM company selected from all live CRM companies on the system.
Contact type code: Code taken from the MK.types file.
Note: Only codes that have not been mapped before are displayed in the list. If no CRM company has been selected, the list is not displayed. The contact type codes can also be entered manually if there is no need to browse the list. The same validation is done when codes are entered manually.
Tip: Hover with the pointer (mouse) cursor over the Contact Type Code column to view the description of the contact type.
VO Activity Type: Code that will be added to the extracted information based on the contact codes that were used when creating the contacts. One of the following:
- E – Enquiry
- Q – Quote
- D – Demo
- O – Used car order
Activity method: An available method as defined by Volvo. One of the following:
- Showroom Visit
- Telephone
- Web
- External event Letter
- SMS
Grid right-click menu:
Add: Enables you to add a new Contact Code.
Amend: Enables you to amend the selected Contact Code.
Note: When you amend a contact code mapping, the CRM company and Contact Type Code are read-only and cannot be changed as this is the prime key in the file.
Delete: Deletes the selected Contact Code.
Prospect Sales Types:
VSB Sales types can be mapped to the Volvo equivalent from the sales type option.
VSB Company: Code and description of a live VSB company.
Sales Type Code: Sales type from VS.stype available for the VSB company.
Volvo Customer Type: One of the following:
- R - Retail
- B - Business
- F - RFO/Fleet
- M - Motability
Grid right-click menu:
Add: Enables you to add a new sales type mapping.
Note: The VSB company drop-down list contains all live VSB companies and a description of each one. The Sales type code drop-down list contains all sales types available for the current VSB company from VS.stype. If no VSB company has been selected, the list will be empty.
All three fields (VSB company, Sales type code and Volvo customer type) must have values selected before the new record can be saved. When a record has been validated successfully, the main mapping form is updated with the new information.Amend: Enables you to amend the selected sales type mapping.
Note: When you are in amend mode, only the Volvo customer type field can be changed.
Delete: Deletes the selected sales type mapping.
Button:
Close: Returns you to the Volvo Prospect Activity form, with any mapping changes saved.
