See also filtering records (lines) in the grid.
You can reduce the number of records (lines) displayed in the Edit File (...) form's grid by selecting a minimum value for the first sort field. Records whose first sort field's value is less than this are omitted from the grid.
Similarly, you can select a maximum value for the first field, records whose first field value is greater than this being omitted.
Note: This procedure assumes you have loaded the required file in the Edit File (...) form.
To crop the range of records (lines) in the grid:
On the Edit File (...) form, select Tools > Set start/finish points > Set from the menu bar or click the Set start and finish points toolbar button
The Set Start And Finish Points form is displayed.
If required, set Start point in the file so that records whose first sort field is less than this value are excluded from the Edit File (...) form's grid.
Tip: Leave Start point in the file blank to include records from the beginning of the file. Similarly, leave Finish point in the file blank to include records to the end of the file.
If required, set Finish point in the file so that records whose first sort field is greater than this value are excluded from the Edit File (...) form's grid
Note: The first sort field, on which this filter acts, is defined by the Tools > Change path > ... menu bar option or the Change the path of the file toolbar button on the Edit File (...) form.
