FOCALpt Daemon

Communication between FOCALpt and the Autoline system is handled by a dedicated FOCALpt daemon. Messages are exchanged using a SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) style interface, and data is XML encoded. The DMS FOCALpt daemon waits for a request and responds accordingly. The messages exchanged are:

You can see the current status of the daemon, either start or stop the daemon and view the daily log file.

FOCALpt Form

This form is displayed when you select the FOCALpt daemon option from the FocalPt menu.

RADIO BUTTONS:

The radio buttons enable you to select the day of the week whose log file you want to view. The current day is selected by default.

PUSH BUTTONS:

Start Daemon: Launches the daemon

Stop Daemon: Stops the daemon

View Log: Displays the log file, containing concise transaction information (customer search log entries, detailed search criteria on FOCALpt and the results) for the day whose radio button is selected

Close: Returns you to the FocalPt menu
