Ford FOCALpt is a web-based showroom product that integrates with Ford's internal systems. Communication between FOCALpt and the Autoline system is handled by a dedicated FOCALpt daemon.
To use FOCALpt:
From the Autoline Master menu, select the Manufacturer systems option and, if applicable, the appropriate Company.
The Ford Operations menu is displayed.
Select the FOCALpt menu option.
The FOCALpt menu is displayed.
This menu is displayed when you select the FOCALpt menu option from the Ford Operations menu.
FOCALpt daemon: Enables you to see the current status of the daemon, either start or stop the daemon and view the daily log file.
Vehicle order acknowledgements: Enables you to administer vehicle order acknowledgements.
FOCALpt parameters: Enables you to set up the Focal Point parameters (the FOCALpt parameters should be altered only if the MK company structure changes).
User maintenance: Enables you to administer FOCALpt user access to the DMS; the map should be maintained accordingly.
Record map maintenance: Provides access to the FOCALpt-to-DMS record map but should never be altered manually.
Dealer map maintenance: Provides access to the Dealer code map, which should only be altered if the dealer code or MK company structure changes.
General utilities: Displays the MS Utilities Menu, which provides facilities for testing the validity of a record or set of records, generating reports, making ad-hoc enquiries, maintaining parameters and controls, and uploading and converting a file from tape or downloading a file to tape.
