Troubleshooting

Browser and COM Objects

There is a Browser data option on the Debug menu on the Autoline Order Workbench Interface form, which is accessible to priority 9 users. The option can be used to access information about the browser object and the supporting MSXMLHTTP object that are used to communicate with the OWB web services.

Browser Properties

The first tab, labelled Browser Properties, shows the cookie content of the browser page. After a successful login this should contain data value pairs that the software parses to obtain the security details for the current session. The security details are used to generate the requests made on the OWB web services.

If the security details J-SESSION ID and PDH ID are found then J-Session and PDH ID information will be supplied.

The last navigation URL is the last page the browser navigated to. The current URL is the page the browser is currently displaying.

XMLHTTP Properties

In addition to the embedded browser the OWB interface uses the MSXMLHTTP 2 ActiveX control to interact with the OWB web services. The XMLHTTP tab displays the last response received from the MSXMLHTTP object in the form on an HTTP response code.

The content of the responsetext property of the MS XMLHTTP object is displayed. This is an XML document that can be copied from the target server.

Possible User Messages

Retrieving search results: Slow data retrieval

Try shortening the date range or wait and continue processing. You will be prompted again in 60 seconds.

Options:

Continue: Wait for the GM server to respond to the request. The slow response may be due to network load or the amount of data being returned (large date range searches take longer).

Refine Search: Current search will be cancelled and you should shorten the date range.

Close current vehicle before proceeding

You should close the current VSB record and re-launch the interface.
