Batches Tab

A batch is given a reference number made up of the company number and a unique number. When the Batches tab is selected, the system displays a menu of the batches on the system. Batch numbers are displayed, together with the date the batch was created, the number of documents in the batch and the status. Following are the fields displayed on the batches tab.


Batch number: Enter the batch number to populate the fields on the Batches tab or select the required batch number from all the available batches by clicking on the ellipsis [...] button.

Available Batches

When you click on the ellipsis [...] button on the Batches tab, the Available batches form is displayed. This form summarises the batch details and shows a record of the last attempted submission and download.


Batch details

Batch number: Displays the selected batch number.

Docs in batch: Displays the number of documents in the batch.

Fleet: Displays the interface setting for fleet details.

Created on: Displays the date on which the batch was created.

Created by: Displays the name of the POS operator.

Submission information

The submission information details the last attempted transmission. To see a record of previous transmissions, the View-log option must be used.

User ID: The name of the operator that attempted the transmission.

Date: The Transmission date.

Time: The Transmission time.

Status: The status field indicates whether or not the batch was successfully transmitted on the last attempt, displaying one of the following statuses: Live, Failed or Submitted.

Download information

The download information displays details of the last time the batch record was downloaded to PC or diskette.

User ID: The name of the operator that downloaded the batch record.

Date: The date of the download.

Time: The time of the download.

Status: The field indicates whether or not the last attempt to download a batch record to PC or diskette was successful, and displays one of the follwoing statuses: Download OK, N/A, or Failed.

Extract: The extractfile record filename. This is provided for support purposes only.

Log: The name of the log file. This is for support purposes only.

Options

View log: This option displays the contents of a batch record and the transmission and download history.

Download: The download option is used in the event that there is a transmission problem and you are required to send the batch record to KCC or DAF. The batch record may be downloaded to PC or diskette.

View batch: Allows you to view the batch record in electronic data format..

Transmit: This option is used to transmit a batch to DAF.

Delete: Deletes the transmission.
