As new vehicles are created in Point-of-Sale, a check is performed when a registration number is entered in POS. If the registration number is not found in the marketing database then the system will check the Volvo vehicle load file, if it is found there then it will pull trough the details from that file and allow the user to create a new marketing vehicle record. In the situation where more than one vehicle is found for a particular registration number, a window displays chassis number details, prompting the user to decide which is correct.
If the vehicle does not exist within the Marketing system, you must create the vehicle record in the normal way.
