These parameters define how various elements of the VHC process function. They should be maintained in conjunction with Point-of-Sale Terminal details.
To maintain VHC parameters:
From the Autoline main menu, select Manufacturer systems > X1 Aftersales Generic add-ons.
The AFTERSALES ADD-ONS menu is displayed.
Select the Vehicle Health Check option.
The Vehicle Health Check menu is displayed.
Select the VHC Parameters option.
The Vehicle Health Check Parameters form is displayed.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems > X1. Aftersales Generic add-ons > Vehicle Health Check > VHC Parameters. It enables you to maintain Vehicle Health Check parameters.
Menu Bar and Toolbar:
Menu Bar Toolbar Action File > Reset Clears any amendments you have made to the VHC parameters for the selected Point-of-Sale Company (no amendments are saved). File > Save Saves any changes you have made to the VHC parameter record.
Note: You can change the Point-of-Sale Company after saving the VHC parameters (re-select from the drop-down list).
File > Copy Enables you to create VHC parameters for a Point-of-Sale company based on an existing set of VHC company parameters. File > Exit Returns you to the Vehicle Health Check menu, ignoring any changes you made. Help > Help Displays this Help topic in a web browser.
POS Company: Point-of-Sale Company to which the VHC parameters apply. Select the Point-of-Sale Company by clicking the Drop-down button, to create or edit parameters. This field becomes available again after you have saved the VHC parameters, and you can then change the Point-of-Sale Company. The parameters again become available for amendment.
Tabs:
There are three tabs:
Force VHC Print: Tick this check-box to force the production of a VHC checklist when the WIP is being invoiced.
Auto-print hard copy: Tick this check-box to hardcopy to print, or leave blank to archive only a VHC checklist, when the WIP is being invoiced.
Note: Force VHC Print and Auto-print hard copy operate in conjunction with each other. When Auto print hard copy is not ticked, a copy of the VHC Checklist is not printed, but a copy is sent to Document archive.
Enable part status update: When this check-box is ticked, the system does not delete any parts lines that have been attached to a purchase order from the VHC Summary.
VHC Service history code: Defines the Service History code to be used when creating a VHC Print service-history record.
Use 6 x 70 character formats: When this check-box is ticked, new VHC formats supporting 6 x 70 character text lines are used. If it is not ticked, the VHC parameter Text limit is adhered to.
Text Limit: Maximum number of VHC text field characters allowed in the Vehicle Health Check print.
Note: Although any value from 0 to 100 can be entered, the printed document allows for only 61 characters. An entry of zero will be treated as the upper limit of 100.
Print VAT inclusive prices: When this check-box is ticked, VAT inclusive prices are to be printed on the Vehicle Health Check sheet.
Log VHC actions: When this check-box is ticked, VHC audit logging is active.
Process grid refresh interval: Defines the Process grid refresh frequency.
Operator display on dashboard: Should the VHC operator be a blank display (booked in) or an owning operator?
Blank follow up date: When this check-box is ticked, the reminder follow-up date on the VHC summary is blank, forcing the operator to enter a follow-up date.
Auto clear IDC requests: When this check-box is ticked, inter-department communication requests originating from closed VHC records are cleared.
Alternative VHCs: When this check-box is ticked, alternative Vehicle-health check-sheets are used or can be selected when creating a VHC record in Point-of-Sale (links > Vehicle Health Check > Record VHC).
Agreed price priority: Operator priority for Agreed price functionality in VHC Summary, or 0 for no priority checking.
Deferred lines Show on invoice: When this check-box is ticked, a default value is given for Show on Invoice when a line is set to reminder/deferred.
Print measured values: When this check-box is ticked, measured value descriptions on VHC documents are printed (only applicable if 6 x 70 character formats are being used).
Print labour text as default: When this check-box is ticked, labour text is printed on VHC print instead of VHC notes (only applicable if 6 x 70 character formats are being used).
Illegal tyre condition code: Condition code for illegal tyre.
Illegal tyre VHC line code: VHC line condition code franchise for illegal tyre.
Tyre warning condition code: Warning condition code for tyre to enable overriding tyre condition on a warning level.
Tyre warning VHC line code: Warning VHC line code for tyre to enable overriding tyre condition on a warning level.
Note: The actual warning condition selected can be any valid VHC level condition available in the system. The tyre warning condition can be set up only if the faulty condition has already been set up.
Tyre recording UoM link 1-4: Tyre recording field linked to units of measure fields 1-4.
Upsell tyre analysis: Option in Upsell maintenance to link to tyre.
Tyre info 1-6 in VHC text: Six categories of tyre information copied to VHC text.
When a Point-of-Sale company has been selected, the corresponding company’s terminal table is read and the VHC franchise control table is populated. The franchise control override can then be set for the specified terminals.
Terminal number: Terminal number.
Override Franchise Control: Click a cell to display a tick, or click a ticked cell to clear the tick. A tick indicates that the setting of the Franchise control field on the terminal details record for this terminal will be ignored.
