Autoline uses the overdue interest general and the overdue interest codes parameters to calculate interest on open transactions.
After you have set up the overdue interest general parameters, you can select open transactions per account from the Select Overdue Interest Proposals and calculate the overdue interest for each transaction.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer-specific > X2. Generic - Accounts > Menu - Utilities > Generic Accounts Parameters and you browse to + Controlling > + Overdue Interest General > [no. Company name] on the Project parameters browser. It maintains Overdue Interest General parameter records for the selected company.
Exclude account types: A list of account types to be excluded from the overdue interest calculation (one character for each type without spaces in between).
VAT code: VAT code used to post the VAT amount to interest invoices. You can select a valid code via the
button next to the VAT Code field. If you do not add a VAT to your interest invoices, select a VAT code with 0% tax rate.
Interest journal type: Journal type that is used in the posting processes for the interest invoices of the current company. If you do not select an interest journal type, the default type is used for the interest invoices.
NL account code: Account code that is used to post the charged interest into the Nominal Ledger.
Alternative format: Name of the format stationery that is used to print an interest invoice (three characters).
Overdue interest proposals log: Setting that controls Overdue Interest Proposals logging. (Default is On).
Start of interest calculation: Start date of the first overdue interest calculation. The restriction of the duration of the first interest calculation period limits the amounts of the interest invoices.
This parameter value is considered if the program does not find processed transactions of an account of an interest calculation before. If parameter value is left blank, the due date of a transaction is used as the start date of the interest calculation.
