Controlling Event Creation

Introduction

Statistic views are defined by event definitions for the period being reviewed. Event definitions capture transactions that occur across different modules and present the count or values within the views. You can control event creation by preventing the creation of entries for particular events.

To prevent event creation:

1. From the CRM ADD-ONS menu select the Event generation setup option.

   The CRM Events selection form is displayed.

2. Select the event or events in the Events to be generated list that you want not to be generated and click the Add event button, or click the Add all events button to select all the events.

   The selected events are transferred to the Events not to be generated list.

   Tip: You can select an event or events in the Events not to be generated list and click the Remove event button to move an event back to the Events to be generated list, or click the Remove all events button to move all the events back.

3. Select File > Save from the menu or click the Save button.

   An Event definitions saved successfully message is displayed.

4. Click OK, followed by Exit.

   You are returned to the CRM ADD-ONS menu with the updated definitions list saved.

CRM Events Selection Types Form

This form is displayed when you select the Event generation setup option on the CRM ADD-ONS menu. It enables you to prevent the creation of an entry for particular events.

Menu Bar and Toolbar:

Menu bar	Toolbar	Action
File > Exit		Returns you to the CRM ADD-ONS menu.
File > Save		Saves the changes you made to the definitions lists.
File > Cancel		Cancels any changes you made to the lists.
File > Help		Displays this Help topic in a browser.

Buttons:

Add event: Transfers the events selected in the Events to be generated list to the Events not to be generated list.

Add all events: Transfers all the events in the Events to be generated list to the Events not to be generated list.

Remove event: Transfers the events selected in the Events not to be generated list to the Events to be generated list.

Remove all events: Transfers all the events in the Events not to be generated list to the Events to be generated list.
