This is an update that deletes the retained previous vehicle link in a customer record.
There is no print out or display produced.
Warning: Care should be taken when setting any CRM (Customer Relationship Management) records for deletion. Customers will have to be detached from the vehicles, and contact and service history will have to be transferred before any records are set for deletion.
To delete a previous link:
From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the CRM option and the Company required.
The CRM menu is displayed.
Select the Reports and enquiries option.
The CRM REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu is displayed.
Select the Database cleansing option.
The CRM DATABASE CLEANSING menu is displayed.
Select the Delete a previous link option.
The Delete a previous link (MK) form is displayed.
Complete the form and click OK.
A report status is displayed confirming that the update has taken place.
Click Close.
You are returned to the CRM DATABASE CLEANSING menu.
This form is displayed when you select the Delete a previous link option from the CRM DATABASE CLEANSING menu.
Enter Customer ('T') or 'C'omp: Enter T for a customer record or C for a company record.
Enter Customer/Company record: Enter the magic number of the customer or company from which you want to remove the link.
Enter vehicle record number: Enter the vehicle magic number of the link that you want to break.
PUSH BUTTONS:
OK: Runs the update
Warning: The link is deleted immediately you select OK, so care must be taken that you have entered the correct customer/company and vehicle numbers. You can only delete one link at a time.
Cancel: Returns you to the CRM DATABASE CLEANSING menu without printing the report
Help: Displays help on the current program using the default browser
Schedule: Displays the Timed Operations scheduler
Add to batch: Displays an Add report to batch form in which a report may be batched for printing in a report group
