This report runs through the Parts stock file. You are prompted for the number of weeks you are prepared to keep good stock. This is used to calculate the current stock/weekly demand, and any quantity above this is classed as excess stock. Only parts that have excess stock are included in the report. Non-stock items are not included.
By default the report is displayed, and is sorted by re-order category/part number. When the report is run, you are also given the option to print the report or output the report to an HTML directory.

To produce an obsolete stock report:
From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Stock management option and Company you require.
The STOCK MANAGEMENT menu is displayed.
Select the Reports and enquiries option.
The SM REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu is displayed.
Select the Obsolete Stock Report option.
The Obsolete Stock Report form is displayed.
Complete the form and click OK.
The report is compiled and output in the selected format.
This form is displayed when you select the Obsolete Stock Report option from the SM REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu. From this form you can produce an obsolete stock report.
Output type: Enables you to specify the format in which the report is produced. One of:
Print: Prints the report to the currently selected printer
HTML: Outputs the report to file in Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML) format
- Display: Displays the report (default)
Enter Weeks Good Stock: Good number of weeks in stock (default 12)
Enter Franchise: Single-character franchise code
Choose (A)ll or (E)xcess stock: A to see All stock or E to see Excess stock only (default is E)
Enter Excess Value filter: Excess value filter: stock above this value is included in the report (default 0.00)
PUSH BUTTONS:
OK: Outputs the report in the selected format
Cancel: Returns you to the SM REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu.
Help: Displays help on the current program using the default browser
Schedule: Displays the Timed Operations scheduler. This button is not enabled when the output type is set to Display.
Add to batch: Displays an Add report to batch form in which a report may be batched for printing in a report group. This button is not enabled when the output type is set to Display.
