Reprint an SL daybook

The Reprint SL daybook option allows you to reprint any Daybook for which the entries exist in the Invoice Buffer as already processed. For this reason it is worth repeating that the daybooks should be checked by number sequence (to ensure all daybooks are present) before the Clear processed batches option is executed or run in Timed Operations at the End of Day.

Before executing this function ensure that a suitable printer is selected. If the printer assigned to your terminal is not appropriate then change it by clicking the Change button in the Printer area at the bottom of the menu. Check that the printer is online and that adequate stationery supplies are available.

On selecting this option from the menu you will be presented with the Reprint Daybook form. On this form you are requested to enter the daybook number you wish to reprint. Click the Ellipsis [...] button to perform a search for the daybook of your choice.

If you perform a search you will be presented with Daybook Log form on which you can enter the daybook number at which you wish to start the search.

Enter your Start daybook number and click the OK but to execute the search. Click the Cancel button to return to the Reprint Daybook form. Click the Help button to access the online help on this topic.

The logic here is that whilst you may not know the exact daybook number, you may know that it is somewhere 'around' a particular number. If the number input is positive then all daybooks from that number forward will be displayed in the subsequent Daybook search form, in ascending daybook number order. If the number input is negative then all daybooks from that number backwards will be displayed in the subsequent Daybook search form, in descending daybook number order. In the search window, each Daybook is identified by Daybook Number, User ID, Terminal Number, Date processed, Time processed, Input Batch Number, Source Module and Module Sequence No.

Select the daybook required from the Daybook search form and click the OK button. Click the Cancel button to return to the Reprint Daybook form without selecting a daybook.

When you have entered a valid Daybook number, either as the result of a search or directly into the field. Tab out of the field and Autoline will present a range of information fields from the Daybook Log file in order that you may verify that you have selected the correct daybook.

When you have verified that the Daybook shown is the required one, click the Re-print button. Click the Exit button to return to the SL Miscellaneous options menu.

Click the Help button to access the online help on this topic.
