In this option we will discuss non sensitive document details that you are allowed to edit.
On selecting this option you will be presented with the Edit Transaction Details form where you are prompted for the account code.
Click the Ellipsis button to perform a search to access the Sales Ledger Account required.
When you tab or return out of the account code field all the current outstanding documents pertaining to the account entered will be displayed showing the following information. Document Number, Document Type, Document Date, Original Amount, Outstanding Amount and Reference.
By clicking the Filter button you can perform a filter on the transactions displayed by any one or all of the information fields displayed. When you click the filter button a Transaction Filter form will be presented.
Enter the required filter data and click the OK button to perform the filter of the information displayed on the Edit Transaction Details form.
Click the Reset button to reset any data entered into the filter form.
Click the Cancel button to return to the Edit Transaction Details form.
Double click the transaction that you wish to amend. The transaction details will be displayed on an Edit Transaction form. On this form you can edit the fields detailed below and/or set up a Problem reporting code against the transaction.

The Sales Ledger includes a sub-system for managing Problem reporting and Bad debts. This is a valuable facility for Credit Control purposes. It allows documents to be tagged with a number of fields which record problem and bad debt information.
The Problem report allows the entry of the following fields:

Note: These codes are held in a file that is not compulsory on your system. If this file does not exist you can use single character codes of your own choice as long as the user knows what each code means.
Reference: |
Enter a reference of your choice to identify the problem. |
Date raised: |
Enter the date the problem first occurred. Click the Ellipsis ![]() |
Comment: |
Enter any comments you wish to record about the problem. |
Sent to: |
Enter the user ID of the person within your organisation to which you have reported the problem.

Follow up date: |
Enter the date on which you intend to check on the progress of this problem. Click the Ellipsis ![]() |
Once the transaction has been edited or a problem report has been added, click the Save button to write the changes to the document and return you to the Edit transaction details form to enable you to select another document.
Click the Cancel button to return to the Edit Transaction details form.

Tip: If no documents need editing ESC key will take you back to the previous form.
On the Edit Transaction details form clicking the Exit button will return you to the SL Miscellaneous options menu.
