Once the Point of Sale module is accessed from the menu, the operator will be presented with a Operator form requiring the input of a User ID and a password. The input here will be checked and validated against the Point of Sale operators table . The list of valid operators can also be viewed by clicking on the Ellipsis [...] button next to the operator name field. If a password is required for the selected User ID then this must be entered into the second field before being allowed to proceed into the Point of Sale system. The password that is entered is not displayed on screen for security purposes and it must be remembered that the password is case specific, meaning that a password of ABC123 is different to abc123.

Once the User ID and password input is accepted, the operator is presented with a WIP form . The operator will in some areas of the system be presented with a operator form before entering the module, this will record the operators details against any changes made within that module.
