This form is part of the sequence of forms for creating a used vehicle quotation. See the Used Vehicles section for instructions and general tips on this process. It can also be accessed by selecting Trade-ins from the Edit menu of the Enquiry Builder.
The VAT registered checkbox allows for the differential treatment of VAT registered customers. If ticked an extra field is displayed in which to enter the customer's VAT number.
The details of up to three vehicles, which can be traded-in against the current quotation, are displayed in a grid. If the customer has previously been specified for this quotation then the first current vehicle in his/her list of associated vehicles is displayed in the grid. Vehicles details can be changed, and valuations created or requested, by clicking the Edit button to display the Trade-In Details form. If the customer has not already been selected, using the Add button to find a trade-in vehicle will automatically specify the associated customer as the customer for this quotation. The Remove button deletes vehicles from the grid.
The following information is displayed on the grid:
Inc?: Click this field in the row corresponding to the vehicle(s) to be included as a trade-in for the current quotation. To proceed with the quotation without a trade-in, click the Next button without ticking a vehicle.
Registration: The registration number of the trade-in vehicle.
Description
Offer: The amount offered to the customer.
Valued: The valuation of the vehicle.
The section at the bottom of the form allows details of any outstanding finance for a trade-in vehicle to be entered. After filling in the original period of the loan (in months), current monthly payment, amount borrowed (total) and months paid, click the Calculate button and the system will determine the Cost to settle early. Alternatively, select the Exact radio button to enter the cost to settle manually.
This will be included in the calculation of the final amount the customer will have to pay.
