The profit status bar is usually located near the bottom of any form that enables the details of an enquiry or quote to be altered, thereby affecting profits. It can be used to monitor the profitability of a proposed deal, updating as options are selected so as to enable the user to see the implications of a selection immediately, without it being obvious to customers.
There are four modes for the profit status bar, which can be selected by clicking the floppy disk icon next to the figures themselves. These are:
Figures: The profit status figures are calculated from estimated or actual costs held on each vehicle line. For example:

Where an uppercase letter denotes a positive value (profit) and a lowercase letter denotes a negative value (loss) for the number following it. The numbers after each letter represent:

Payment: A summary of the payment details. For example:

Purchase price: 22721.23 Equity: 2272.12 Monthly: 712.88 |
Where the Purchase price is the total (including VAT if applicable) and the Equity is total equity in the deal. Monthly is the amount of each instalment and is only displayed once a finance scheme has been selected.
Hidden: No information is displayed, only the floppy disc icon to enable you to switch to the other three modes:
