Define stock profile periods form is accessed via the Showroom > Miscellaneous Options > Stock Profiling menu and is used to create and maintain Stock Profiling Periods. A Period is a set amount of time that the specific profile relates to. The Periods can be user defined or created on a weekly or monthly basis. For example The Month of October 2008 or Week 44 of year 2008.
Menu:
Menu Icon Description File > Exit Returns you the previous screen. Help > Help Displays this help page. Alternatively, press F1. Location: When the drop down is selected, all locations available to the user and SR Salesperson settings are available for individual selection.
Period: Three period types are available for selection.
Monthly: A month is considered to start on the 1st and end on the last day of the month. Tip: An ellipsis has been provided to select the month. If a date is entered manually, it will always default to the 1st of the month that has been entered..
Weekly: A week is considered to start on a Monday and end on a Sunday. Custom: User defined dates can be entered. Description: The description field is a free text field. However, if nothing is entered into this field, then default text of the period description is automatically entered. For example Monthly October 2008 or Weekly 44/2008.No default description is entered for custom.
Show all periods: All current periods are displayed automatically when entering this form. Click on this tick box to show all periods.
Grid:
Current periods are displayed in a grid. Select one to enable the buttons and select the required action. For example New or Amend. The grid displays the following columns.
Period: Unique number allocated to this period.
Location: Location selected for this period.
Description: Description of the period.
Type: Period Type. For example M for Monthly.
Start: Start date of the Period.
End: End date of the Period.

Button Icon Description Cancel Cancel any work already entered. Save Saves entered information. New ![]()
Create a new entry. Amend Amend a selected entry. Copy Copy a selected entry so it can be changed and saved as a new record. Delete ![]()
Delete a selected entry.
