Keeping Secure Backup Copies

A backup is a spare copy, made periodically on to a removable medium, of a file or file system or other resource for use in the event of failure or loss of the original. Ideally the backup copies are kept securely off-site or fire-proof safe.

A dialog box is displayed when you select the Backup procedure or View Security Log option from the SYSTEM UTILITIES MENU

Backup Procedure - BACKUP

Exit: Returns you to the SYSTEM UTILITIES MENU.

End of day: Performs an end of day backup.

Programs: Performs a Programs backup.

Franchise: Performs a Franchise backup.

Documents: Performs a Documents backup.

Archive: Performs an Archive backup.

Backup Procedure - ENQUIRY

Exit: Returns you to the SYSTEM UTILITIES MENU.

End of day: Performs an end of day enquiry.

Programs: Performs a Programs enquiry.

Franchise: Performs a Franchise enquiry.

Documents: Performs a Documents enquiry.

Archive: Performs an Archive enquiry.
