The Location transfer routine, if installed, is designed to automatically process vehicles from one physical location to another physical location.
Note: Vehicles cannot have location transfers if they have been Invoiced, Finished or Closed using this method.
Tip: Before continuing the location transfer enter the stationary format ID in System Parameters to produce a Movement Advice note.
To transfer a vehicle to another location
Note: The vehicle must be in amend mode to enable this option.
Vehicle data
The grid displays information about the selected vehicle and cannot be amended in the Vehicle Location Transfer form
Stock No: The vehicle stock number of the selected vehicle.
Franchise: The franchise of the selected vehicle.
Description: The description of the vehicle selected.
Plate: The registration number of the selected vehicle.
Chassis No: The chassis number of the selected vehicle.
Old Location Code: This displays the current location of the vehicle selected and cannot be amended within this form.
Old Location Address: This displays the current location address of the vehicle selected and cannot be amended with in this form.
New Location Code: Click the drop down to select the new location of the selected vehicle.
New Location Address: This displays new location address of the vehicle selected and cannot be amended within this form
PUSH BUTTONS:
OK: Click OK to perform the vehicle location transfer.
Cancel: Click Cancel to return to the vehicle stock record without performing a vehicle location transfer.
Help: Displays help on the current application.
When OK has been selected a message will display select Yes to transfer the vehicle and print a 'Movement advice note'. Select No to return to the Vehicle stock record without performing a location transfer.
Note: The vehicle will have the progress and accounts status reset to Memorandum and will need to be updated manually.
