Vehicle Dates

The Vehicle Dates form is used to record, access and amend details of the dates of related data associated with a vehicle, e.g. date of last and next service, service intervals etc.

Note: The Vehicle dates form is primely used for Commercial vehicles and can be switched on in User Access Control

Vehicle Dates Form

The Vehicle Dates form is displayed when you select the Vehicle menu from the top toolbar within the Vehicle Record..

Tip: If you wish to amend the data in this form ensure that you are in Edit mode, certain fields display only. Details entered are populated from Point of Sale and the Vehicle History tab

Franchise: Displays the Franchise of the selected vehicle and will defaulted from the Vehicle record.

Model: Displays the Model of the selected vehicle and will defaulted from the Vehicle record.

Variant: Display's the Variant of the selected vehicle and will defaulted from the Vehicle record.

Description: Display's the Description of the selected vehicle and will defaulted from the Vehicle record.

New/Used: Indicates whether the vehicle is New or Used, copied initially from the vehicle record.

Registration: Display's the Registration of the vehicle and will be defaulted in from the Vehicle record.

Note: The last service date will be defaulted from the Point of Sale module, providing a service code is used.

Operation: This field will display five operations Service, MOT, Inspection, Tacho check and Tacho recalibration. The last five lines are user defined and editable.

Last: The last operation date of the vehicle.

Next: The next operation date of the vehicle. Letters reminding customers of the next work to be carried out may be written based on information entered here.

Interval: The number of weeks or months between operations. This should be entered for all vehicles likely to pass through the Service Department. If this field is not populated and the vehicle passes through the Service Department the system will not be able to calculate a next operation date.

Interval timing: This field is not editable and you will need to calculate the Interval in either weeks or months.

OK: Returns you to the Vehicle record
