When you Update VSB with Order Acknowledgements, exceptions may be raised. You should review them daily to fix them and identify recurring problems. You should immediately clear obsolete exceptions.
To review exceptions:
Select View > exceptions om the menu bar of the Vehicle Order Acknowledgements form or select the Exceptions option button.
The grid repopulates with those records that failed in the VSB update, the Reason column indicating why the exception occurred. You should review all new exceptions and take corrective action in the core system before attempting to re-process the acknowledgement.
To examine an exception record in more detail, select View exception detail from the line's right-click menu.
A list of the acknowledgement record's exception details, corresponding to the exception codes given in the grid's Reason column, is displayed.
Acknowledgements in the exceptions list can be selected, viewed, held, processed, cleared or attached to a stock record.
If, on the other hand, Autoline finds no exceptions, an Information dialog displays the following message:
INFO: There are no exceptions to report !!
