Uploading a New Volvo VIN File

When you receive the tape from the Media Transfer department, you must upload the file to the Autoline system.

To upload a new Volvo VIN file:

Note: When the tape is in the drive, you can now upload the new Volvo VIN file.

1. From the VOLVO UK OPERATIONS menu, select the General utilities option.

   The MS UTILITIES menu is displayed.

2. Select the Load/unload data file option.

   The system displays a list of available files.

3. Select VO.MS.vovin and click OK.

   The system prompts you to select an item from the menu.

4. Select the Upload-from-tape option and click OK.

   The system prompts you to select an item from the menu.

5. Select the Continue option and click OK.

   When the system has uploaded the file successfully, the following message is displayed:

   Done-OK

6. Click OK.

   Note: If the upload or download fails, speak to your System Administrator in the first instance in case there is a problem with your tape device. If there is no problem with the device, contact the distributor of the tape.
