The Dictionaries page

The dictionaries page on the format definition must match the files page of the report which will ultimately run this definition. They are named in the same way as those on the report. In this case the files will not have to be linked.

The number of files permitted is not the same as that of the report, up to ten may be named. However, the origin of the files is a little more limited, as the system will only allow the user to use files which are normally accessible to the module currently being used.

The files must be named in order that the design of the page, which will normally include fields from a selection of files, can be laid out properly. The system will need to verify the type and size of the fields while the user is designing the format and this can only be done if the dictionaries that are being used have been named in this screen.

The system will only allow Format Stationery to be used on a single company. The features allowed on report definitions for multiple company report writing are not allowed while using Format Stationery.
