Once a format has been created there may be a need to test the look or alignment of the document. The Test print option provides this ability by printing out a draft version of the format. All of the text will appear as expected, while fields included on the format will appear on the test document pre-filled with the letter 'X' to simulate the size of the field entered.
Please note that this feature is not available until the format has been compiled.
The test print will always print two pages. The reason for this is to show both versions of the header and trailer and to ensure that the page length and feed are correct.
If the format is incorrect and amendments are made, remember to compile the format again prior to repeating the test print.
