IBIS Interface Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems > MB Mercedes Benz > Menu - Sales > IBIS interface.

Menu Bar and Toolbar:

Menu bar	Toolbar	Action
File > Exit		Leaves the form and returns to the menu.
Tools > Export		Select to export the repurchase and resale data to IBIS. The records processed will be displayed in the Processing history for the last export run grid.
Tools > Show last export details (History)	—	Select to display the last data which was exported by the last export run. If selected the New data menu will be available.
Tools > Show new data for export (New data)	—	Select to display the data which has not yet been exported. If selected the History menu will be available.
Tools > Purge processsed data	—	Select to delete processed records older than the parameter Days to purge data as defined in the IBIS Interface parameters.
Tools > Refresh		Refresh the data in the grid.
Help > Help		Displays a help page describing the form using your default browser.
Help > About	—	Displays version and copyright information.

StarConnect data server connections:

This section lists the STCDS external system ID’s and the linked VSB companies for which the IBIS interface is activated.

Tip: In this section it is possible to activate or de-activate a STCDS external system ID for which the IBIS information should be processed, by setting or remove the tick in the first column next to the external system ID.

• Select the STCDS external system ID to see the details of the last export run.

• Select the Vehicle stockbook company to see full history for selected VSB company.

Tabs:

• Resale and repurchase data

• Accounting enrichment

Resale and repurchase data tab:

The Resale and repurchase data tab will be available if the communication type for transmitting the resale and repurchase data to IBIS is available and enabled. By default the new data which has not yet been sent to IBIS will be displayed.

Unprocessed records for next export run:

This is the default view. To view the full history for a VSB company, select the Vehicle stockbook company in the StarConnect data server connection section and to view the processed history of the last export run select the STCDS external system ID in the StarConnect data server connection section

Grid:

The information displayed in the grid will be grouped by VSB company and will be sorted on the date and time when the document was printed.

Processing date: Displays the processing date.

Vehicle no: Displays the used vehicle number.

Document type: Displays the document type.

Print date: Displays the date the document was printed.

Document date: Displays the document date.

Status: Displays the status of the document.

Information: Displays the status information of the document.

Grid shortcut menu:

This menu is available for users with a priorty of 8 in the MS/MB module.

Show details: Select to view a preview of the data. This data only contains the details of the selected vehicle.

Processing history for the last export run:

This section is displayed when you select the STCDS external system ID in the StarConnect data server connection section. To view the full history for a VSB company, select the Vehicle stockbook company in the StarConnect data server connection section.

Grid:

The information displayed in the grid will be grouped by VSB company and will be sorted on the date and time when the document was printed.

Processing date: Displays the processing date.

Vehicle no: Displays the used vehicle number.

Document type: Displays the document type.

Print date: Displays the date the document was printed.

Document date: Displays the document date.

Status: Displays the status of the document.

Information: Displays the status information of the document.

Reset status: Select to reset the status to New to include the vehicle in the next export.

Processing history for [VSB company]:

All the processed records will be displayed for the selected VSB company. Processed records older than the parameter Days to purge data as defined in the IBIS Interface parameters are delete.

Field:

Vehicle number: Enter the vehicle number to filter on.

Tip: Left click on the vehicle number in the grid to apply the filter directly with the selected vehicle number.

Grid:

Processing date: Displays the processing date.

Vehicle no: Displays the used vehicle number.

Document type: Displays the document type.

Print date: Displays the date the document was printed.

Document date: Displays the document date.

Status: Displays the status of the document.

Information: Displays the status information of the document.

Accounting enrichment tab:

The Accounting enrichment tab will be available if the communication types for receiving and transmitting the account enrichment data are available and activated. By default all IBIS requests which have not been processed will be displayed.

Grid:

The requests displayed are for the external system ID’s selected in the StarConnect data server connection section.

Event date: Displays the event date.

Business ID: Displays the business ID.

Message: Displays a message.

Note: Each record for the resale and repurchase interface will be exported only once. Even in case of an error, the record will be marked as processed.

View Unprocessed records for next export run

When the form is opened the new data which has not yet been sent to IBIS will by default be displayed. To view unprocessed records for next export run:

1. Select the Resale and repurchase data tab.

2. Select Tools > Show new data for export from the toolbar menu.

3. All unprocessed records is displayed in the grid.

4. Select Show details from the shortcut menu to view the preview of the data for the selected record.

View Processing history for the last export run

To view the processing history for the last export run:

1. Select the Resale and repurchase data tab.

2. Select the External system ID which is configured for the IBIS interface.

3. All processed history records for the external system ID is displayed in the grid.

4. Select Show details from the shortcut menu to view the preview of the data for the selected record.

View Processing history for VSB company

To view the processing history for a VSB company:

1. Select the Resale and repurchase data tab.

2. Select the Vehicle stockbook company within the External system ID which is configured for the IBIS interface

3. All processed history records for the VSB company is displayed in the grid.

4. Enter the vehicle number to filter by or left click on the vehicle number in the grid to apply the filter directly with the selected vehicle number.

5. Select Show details from the shortcut menu to view the preview of the data for the selected record.

View full export information in the STCDS outbound queue

To view full export information in the STCDS outbound queue:

1. Select Manufacturer-specific > MB. Mercedes-Benz > Menu - Utilities > StarConnect Data Server > StarConnect data server from the main menu.

2. Select the External system ID which is configured for the IBIS interface.

3. Select the Outbound queue tab.

4. By default all non-processed outbound requests are shown. To view processed requests select the Processed radio button.

5. To filter the outbound queue one can select the REPURCHASE_RESALE_INFO entry from the Type dropdownbox.

6. To view the communication request detail select File > Edit from the toolbar menu or double-click on the selected line.

Process accounting enrichment request:

To process an accounting enrichment request:

1. Select the Accounting enrichment tab.

2. Select Tools > Process from the toolbar menu.

3. The Processing progress will be indicated by the progress indicator in the bottom left corner of the form.

4. The interface will report at the end of the process how many vehicles are included in the export to IBIS.

5. A new STCDS outbound communication request will be created if there are vehicles found which have to be reported to IBIS.

Note: The accounting enrichment response will be sent using multiple requests if the the responese exceed the 1 MB size limit. IBIS is connected to the STCDS using the RTFS communication protocol which is limited to files with a maximum size of 1 MB.

View processed accounting enrichment history

To view the processed accounting enrichment history:

1. Select the Accounting enrichment tab.

2. By default the new IBIS accounting enrichment requests are shown.

3. Select Tools > Show history from the toolbar menu.

4. The processed IBIS accounting enrichment requests and the genereated responses will be displayed in the grid.

5. Select Tools > View file from the toolbar menu to view the XML file for the selected communication queue record.
