Usually when a list of models or variants are displayed, they are sorted by the models/variants codes. With this parameters it is now possible to sort the models and variants by description in Vehicle Stockbooks, CRM and Showroom.
What do you want to do?
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to Sales > General franchise parameters > [no. Company name] > [Franchise] on the Project parameters browser. It maintains the General franchise parameters per franchise per Showroom company.
Fields:
Franchise Code: Select the Franchise Code which models/variants should be sorted by description. The dropdown list contains all 3-letter Franchise Details codes as well as the 2-letter Franchise locator codes.
Sort models/variants on description:
In vehicle stockbook: Select to sort the models/variants for the specified Franchise code by description in Vehicle Stockbooks. The 3-letter franchise codes defined in Franchise Data > Franchise Details are used in Vehicle Stockbooks.
In CRM: Select to sort the models/variants for the specified Franchise code by description in CRM. The 3-letter franchise codes defined in Franchise Data > Franchise Details are used in CRM.
In showroom in tree view: Select to sort the models/variants for the specified Franchise code by description in the tree view in Showroom. The 3-letter franchise codes defined in Franchise Data > Franchise Details are used in the tree view in Showroom.
In showroom in list view: Select to sort the models/variants for the specified Franchise code by description in the list view in Showroom. The 2-letter franchise codes defined in Franchise Data > Miscellaneous options > Franchise locator codes are used in the list view in Showroom.
Sub model selection:
Show sub model selection: Select to activate the sub model selection on company and franchise level. When activated for the selected franchise the Sub model field will be shown with dropdown list selection on the Vehicle tab of the CRM My desktop screen and on the Additional competitor information form.
Note: The sub model selection field is not mandatory and is ONLY visible on NDL systems.
Before you can setup the parameters for a Showroom company, you need to add franchise codes per company.
To add a new franchise:
Click New or the 
icon.
The General franchise Parameters form is displayed.
Click Amend, select the Franchise code and complete the parameters fields concerned.
Click Save, to save your changes.
Your parameter record is represented as a parameter element in the browser, with the Franchise code appended.
You amend a franchise if you need to change the parameters for some reason.
To amend a franchise:
Click the Franchise code element that represents the settings you want to change.
The General franchise Parameters form is displayed for the Franchise code you selected.
Click Amend and make the changes.
Click Save, to save your changes.
If it is necessary to delete a franchise, proceed as follows.
To delete a franchise:
Click the Franchise code element that represents the parameters you want to delete.
The General franchise Parameters form is displayed.
Click Amend.
The Delete button is available.
Click Delete.
You are prompted to confirm deletion.
Click OK to delete the settings.
The record is deleted and the parameter element is removed from the browser.
