Location Codes

Per location the cleaning time and default setting of the cleaning flag is maintained for a demonstrator/courtesy car.

Location Codes Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to Service > + Location codes > [no. Company name] > [Location code] on the Project parameters browser. It maintains cleaning times and default cleaning flag for the selected location code.

Fields

Location Code: Select the location code required.

Cleaning time (Mins): Enter the cleaning time in minutes. The Loan Vehicle Diary will incorporate additional times, both cleaning and transfer times. The form will display to the time due (return time) + total minutes for cleaning + total minutes for transfer time.

Initial setting cleaning req: Select if you want to have the Cleaning field default selected in the Courtesy Car Booking form, Customer Demonstration Vehicle Booking form and Sales Executive Demonstration Vehicle Booking form in case cleaning is required. You can change this setting when booking the vehicle.

Adding a Location Code

Before you can setup the parameters for cleaning demonstrator/courtesy cars, you need to create the location codes per company.

To add a new location code:

  1. Click the New element or the NewProgram.gif icon.

    The Location codes form is displayed.

  2. Click the Amend toolbar button tbOptions.gif or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command, select the Location code and complete the parameters fields concerning this record.

  3. Click the Save toolbar button Save.gif or click the Edit > Save menu bar command, to save your changes.

    Your cleaning parameters are represented as a parameter element in the browser, with the Location code appended.

Amending a Location Code

You amend location code if you need to change the cleaning parameters for some reason.

To amend a location code:

  1. Click the Location code element that represents the settings you want to change.

    The Location codes form is displayed for the location code you selected.

  2. Click the Amend toolbar button tbOptions.gif or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command and make the changes.

  3. Click the Save toolbar button Save.gif or click the Edit > Save menu bar command, to save your changes.

Deleting a Location Code

If it is necessary to delete a location code, proceed as follows.

To delete a location code:

  1. Click the Location code element that represents the cleaning parameters you want to delete.

    The Location codes form is displayed.

  2. Click the Amend toolbar button tbOptions.gif or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command.

    The Delete toolbar button is available.

  3. Click the Delete toolbar button Cross.gif or click the Edit > Delete menu bar command.

    You are prompted to confirm deletion.

  4. Click Yes to delete the settings.

    The record is deleted and the parameter element is removed from the browser.
