The Communication program is able to send and retrieve files using different types of communication.
What do you want to do?
To set up the Communication types for the Retail Interface:
Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer Systems menu, combined with company MB.
The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main menu the Menu - Utilities menu.
The Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu the Communication option.
The MB Communication form is displayed.
Here you have to set up the communication for exporting a list in the Retail Interface.
Check on the Communication type tab if the type CRME exists and also check on the Communication type tab if the type CRMI exists.
To add Communication types
Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer Systems menu, combined with company MB.
The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main menu the Menu - Utilities menu.
The Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu the Communication option.
The MB Communication form is displayed.
Go to Insert > New Type option on the menu bar and fill in the following fields on the General tab for CRME or CRMI.
Fill in the following fields on the General tab:
Select MS in Module
Type ** in Company
Type CRME in Communication type
Type Retail Interface - Export in Description
Tick Transmit immediately
Enter a path in Remote directory were you want to store the export file
Fill in the following fields on the General tab:
Select MS in Module
Type ** in Company
Type CRMI in Communication type
Type Retail Interface - Import in Description
Type the same entry of the Import directory field of the Retail Interface parameters in the Local directory field
The Remote directory and Remote filename / e-mail, should be filled with the details of the CRiS server.
