Contact Mapping

Before using the Retail Interface - Import or Retail Interface - Export to CRiS, you need to set up the Contact mapping.

On export the Contact mapping is checked with the contact group and code from Autoline. If a Contact mapping is found, the CRiS contact group and code are stored in the export file instead of the Autoline contact group and code.

On import the contact group and code in the import file is compared with the setup of the contact group and code in the CRM module. If the import file contains a code that does not exist in the CRM module, the contact mapping is checked. If a relevant mapping exists the respective Autoline contact group and code is used when creating the CRM contact.

You can use these Contact mappings for example a list of all customers that might be interested in the latest model of the manufacturer. The contacts are then delivered in the import file.

CRiS might have different Contact groups and Contact types set up as Autoline, you have to make sure that there is a cross-reference with these contacts in Contact mapping.

All contacts that are imported must match one of the Contact mapping.

To access the Contact mapping:

  1. Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer System option, combined with company MB.

    The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.

  2. Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main Menu, the Menu - Marketing option.

    The Mercedes-Benz Marketing menu is displayed.

  3. Select from the Mercedes-Benz Marketing menu the Menu - Retail Interface option.

    The Menu - Retail Interface menu is displayed.

  4. Select from the Menu - Retail Interface menu the Contact mapping option.

    The Retail Interface - Contact Mapping form is displayed.

Fields

Marketing company: The list on the form display the contact mappings of the selected Marketing company.

In the list all added contact mappings are displayed, containing the fields: Contact group AL (Autoline), Contact code AL (Autoline), Contact group CRiS, Contact code CRiS. The selected Contact mapping is highlighted in blue.

Note: All customer contacts that are imported or exported must match one of the Contact mappings.

Create or change the Contact mapping

To create or change the Contact mapping:

  1. Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer System option, combined with company MB.

    The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.

  2. Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main Menu, the Menu - Marketing option.

    The Mercedes-Benz Marketing menu is displayed.

  3. Select from the Mercedes-Benz Marketing menu the Menu - Retail Interface option.

    The Menu - Retail Interface menu is displayed.

  4. Select from the Menu - Retail Interface menu the Contact mapping option.

    The Retail Interface - Contact Mapping form is displayed.

  5. Click the New or Amend button.

    The Edit mapping form is displayed.

Fields

Contact group Autoline: Indicates, which Contact group you want to map with the Contact group that is used in CRiS. You can set up Contact groups in the Miscellaneous options menu of the CRM module.

Contact code Autoline: Indicates, which Contact code you want to map with the Contact code that is used in CRiS. You can set up the Contact code in the Miscellaneous options menu of the CRM module.

Contact group CRiS: Type the Contact group that is used in CRiS.

CRiS group description: Type a description for the Contact group that is used in CRiS.

Contact code CRiS: Type the Contact code that is used in CRiS.

CRiS code description: Type a description for the Contact code that is used in CRiS.

File > Exit Exit Leaves the program and returns to the Retail Interface - Contact Mapping form.
File > Save -

Saves the changed or new contact mapping.

Help > Help Help Displays, in a web browser, a help page describing the form.
