ISO Language Codes

In Autoline, Language codes are used. These language codes are displayed in CRM as e.g. 1 - English. In the Retail Interface ISO codes are used. For this reason, a new table is defined. This table holds ISO3 and ISO2 language codes and the corresponding Autoline language number.

To view ISO language codes:

  1. Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer System option, combined with company MB.

    The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.

  2. Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main Menu, the Menu - Marketing option.

    The Mercedes-Benz Marketing menu is displayed.

  3. Select from the Mercedes-Benz Marketing menu the Menu - Retail Interface option.

    The Menu - Retail Interface menu is displayed.

  4. Select from the Menu - Retail Interface menu the ISO language codes option.

    The Untitled Sorted by : 3 char. ISO code 2 char. ISO code (Forwards) form is displayed.

If the list is empty, you can run an import.

The language codes themselves are in a csv file, that you can import using the Ascii Import menu option in the Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu.

Import the spreadsheet with ISO Language codes

To import the spreadsheet with ISO Language codes:

  1. Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer System option, combined with company MB.

    The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.

  2. Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main Menu, the Menu - Utilities option.

    The Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu is displayed.

  3. Select form the Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu the Ascii import menu option.

    The SU ASCII IMPORT MENU is displayed.

  4. Select form the SU ASCII IMPORT MENU the Import from Excel spreadsheet option.

    The Import Data form is displayed.

  5. Click the Open button.

  6. Select with help of Excel the spreadsheet that you want to import.

    The Import data form is displayed with more information.

  7. Type MB.MS.isoln.sq in the field Data dictionary.

    Check if MB.MS.isoln is automatically displayed in the field File.

    Note: If the file does not exist or is too small to import the data in the spreadsheet, check the Record information area. Make sure that the MB.MS.isoln file is created the File Utilities option or enlarged in Check all files online option of the System Utilities menu in Autoline.

  8. Make sure that the Duplicate Record Options area is set on Complete Replace.

  9. Untick the Heading? field in the Sample Spreadsheet Data area, because this spreadsheet doesn't have a header row.

  10. Link the columns in the spreadsheet. Left-click the field of the Sample Spreadsheet Data area and double-click the matching dictionary field of the Dictionary Details area.

    Tip: Before you import the spreadsheet, make sure that the header of the Sample Spreadsheet Data area has the same names and order as ISO3, ISO2, ALLANG and DESC.

  11. To start importing the data in the spreadsheet, click the Import button.
