Existence of Specific Data fields
The Specific Data fields have been added to the Target Record in the Marketing module and give the possibility to store CRM related information of the target.
To enter the Specific Data fields program, you must:
- Select from the Main menu the Marketing option.
- Select from the Marketing Main menu the Record Maintenance option.
- The Marketing Record Maintenance form is opened.
- Select with help of the Search function a Marketing Target record.
Two CRM specific fields have been added to the Marketing Target record and one calculation is added. These three changes are:
- Calculating the expected replacement with help of the buy cycle
- Preferred method of contact
- Best time to call
All three are explained below.
Expected replacement or buy cycle
- Select the Edit icon from the Toolbar.
- To enter the Expected Replacement or Buy Cycle field, select the Extra-details menu option of the Target menu.
- The Extra Target Information form is opened.
- On the Lifestyle tab the Buy cycle of a target can be maintained.
- Buy Cycle: Contains the number of years after which the car will likely be replaced.
- If you change the Buy Cycle of a target, you are asked to (re)calculate the expected replacement date of a vehicle.
- Select the Save button to save the information on the Extra Target Information form.
Preferred Method of Contact
- The Preferred method of Contact field is stored on the MB-Specific menu option of the Target menu.
- The Mercedes-Benz Specific Target Information form is opened.
- Select the CRM tab.
- Select from the table the preferred method of contact for this customer.
Best Time to Call
- The CRM tab of the Mercedes-Benz Specific Target Information form also contains the Best Time to Call field.
- Best Time to call: Select from the table the best time to call the target.
- Select the Save button to save any changes.
Vehicle Details
- The Vehicle Details grid on the Mercedes-Benz Specific Target Information form, displays the Expected replacement date of all vehicles attached to the target.
- It is also possible to manually change the Expected Replacement date.
- Note that this date can be recalculated if the Buy Cycle field on the Lifestyle tab, which can be found in the Extra-Details menu option of the Target menu of a Marketing Record, is changed.
