The Salutation parameters can be used to set up the salutations in the Salutation table. From the Salutations table the salutation can be selected on the German Specific Address forms when creating or editing an address in the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger or on the CRM Company and Target record.
The Salutation parameters are located in the Marketing group of the German parameter configuration utility. All parameters are described below:
Select the Amend button from the Toolbar to edit the parameters. To edit the parameters, click in the list. Right-click to open the pop-up menu and select the Insert or Delete option to create or remove a salutation record.
Fields
Code: Enter a code, which determines the order in which the salutation codes are displayed in the dropdown. The code itself is displayed in the dropdown as well.
Description: Enter the description of the salutation, which is displayed in the dropdown and is used to generate the salutation of the customer.
Letter header: Enter the Letter header, which updates the database field TITLE on the CRM Target record.
Letter intro: Enter the Letter intro. This description updates the database field SALUTE on the CRM Target record.
Target: Tick if the salutation is valid for target records. If not ticked, the salutation is valid for Company records. Both salutations are valid for SL and PL accounts addresses.
Note: At this moment the salutation is not used for Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger addresses.
