Deleting Bin Locations

You can delete a specific bin location for a part number.

What do you want to do?

Delete Location Per Invalid Entries Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Select SM company (if applicable) > Stock location maintenance > Maintenance > Delete Location menu bar command and click Locations toolbar button NetDisconnect.gif or Inquiry > Locations menu bar command.

Menu Bar and Toolbar:

Menu bar Toolbar Action
File > Exit Exit.gif Returns you to the Empty Bin Locations Per Type form.

Inquiry > Partnumber MileageUpdate.gif Opens the Delete Location Per Partnumber form.
Inquiry > Locations NetDisconnect.gif Opens the Delete Location Per Invalid Entries form.

Help > Help Help2.gif Displays this help topic in a web browser.
Help > About Displays version and copyright information.

Results Grid:

Displays the locations and part numbers with their quantity.

Location: Displays the available stock locations of the selected part.

Partnumber: Displays the part number that is or can be stored on the location.

Quantity: Displays the quantity for the stock location.

Delete: If the quantity is 0, you can select or clear a location for deletion.

Buttons:

Search: Searches all available stock locations which are linked to the part numbers. When a quantity of a location is 0 the gridline is selected for deletion.

Delete: Deletes the selected bin locations.

Display Stockcard: Opens the Display Stock Card form for the selected part number.

Deleting Bin Locations

To delete bin locations:

  1. On the master menu, select Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Select SM company (if applicable) > Stock location maintenance > Maintenance > Delete Location menu bar command and click Locations toolbar button NetDisconnect.gif or Inquiry > Locations menu bar command.

    The Delete Location Per Invalid Entries form is displayed.

  2. Select or clear the gridlines for the locations you want to delete.

    A tick is displayed in the Delete column.

  3. Click the Delete button.

    A message is displayed.

  4. Click OK

    The locations for the selected gridlines are deleted.
