Maintain Details

This form is used to maintain the supersession details.

Details Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Supersession creation > Standard Supersessions tab > right-click the gridline required and click, for example, Create new supersession shortcut menu.

Fields:

Partnumber from: Enter or displays the part number that is superseded, the ‘old’ part number.

Partnumber toTo: Enter or displays the part number to which the ‘old’ part number is superseded.

Supersession Code: Enter or displays the code that stands for the type of supersession.

• 21: Alternative supersession; part A is alternatively replaced by B.

• 22: Straight technical supersession: part A is replaced by B; part A is no longer valid.

• 23: Straight supersession + ‘together with’ parts: part A is replaced by B + C + etc.; A is no longer valid.

Factor: Enter or displays he number of parts that is put in the kit, in case of a C23 supersession.

Buttons:

OK: Saves or deletes the record and returns you to the Supersessions form.

Cancel: Returns you to the Supersessions form.

Help: Displays this help topic in a web browser.

Creating a Supersession

Here you have the possibility to manually create a supersession.

To create a supersession:

1. Click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Supersession creation

   The Supersessions form is displayed.

2. Click the Standard Supersessions tab and right-click the gridline required.

   The shortcut menu is opened.

3. Click Create new supersession.

   The Details form is displayed.

4. Complete the fields and click OK.

   Saves the new supersession and returns you to the Supersessions form.

Changing a Supersession

Here you have the possibility to manually modify a supersession.

To change a supersession:

1. Click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Supersession creation

   The Supersessions form is displayed.

2. Click the Standard Supersessions tab and right-click the gridline required.

   The shortcut menu is opened.

3. Click Edit current supersession.

   The Details form is displayed.

4. Complete the fields and click OK.

   Saves the changed supersession and returns you to the Supersessions form.

Deleting a Supersession

Here you have the possibility to manually modify a supersession.

To change a supersession:

1. Click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Supersession creation

   The Supersessions form is displayed.

2. Click the Standard Supersessions tab and right-click the gridline required.

   The shortcut menu is opened.

3. Click Delete current supersession.

   The Details form is displayed.

4. All fields are unavailable, click OK.

   Deletes the supersession and returns you to the Supersessions form.
